Archer Integrated Operations
The COVID-19 pandemic and a general industry shift toward safety have pushed oil and gas operators toward technology solutions for some of their biggest challenges.
Archer Oiltools, a Norwegian company that started with a focus on plug solutions, has invested in integrated operations (IO) to help oil and gas companies overcome challenges with technology.
The company’s main goals are to improve safety, reduce emissions, and decrease people on board (POB) on offshore assets. They use digital twins, real-time data, and digital workflows to make that happen.
Archer has conducted more than 1900 remote operations, which has resulted in:
Reducing offshore POB equivalent to 2850 people
Saving 92,910 of CO2 emissions
Operational continuity through COVID-19 travel restrictions
Its IO is being used in the Caspian Sea, in the Gulf of Mexico, off the shores of Eastern Canada, and more to save operators time, hours, emissions, and risk.
