Private 5G for Enterprises

Enterprises continue to expand their edge computing, and the launch of 5G networks is appealing to many that want high-speed, reliably connectivity for IoT applications.

Private 5G is set to enable connectivity for a variety of use cases from factory floors, supply chains, energy & industrial facilities, university and enterprise campuses, hospitals, and more.

From CIO

Several big players are already offering private 5G enterprise solutions:

  • Nokia’s Digital Automation Cloud

  • AT&T and Microsoft partnership

  • Azure Private Multi-Access Edge Compute

  • AWS Private 5G

  • Cisco and Dish Network partnership

5G networking could replace or supplement existing WiFi setups. Early applications include supply chain management in auto manufacturing, manufacturing process automation, and connectivity across large facilities like energy assets.

Private 5G networks and the rise in Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) together signal a new era in connectivity. Businesses will have access to high bandwidth, ultra-low latency, and high reliability—making high speed operations like smart manufacturing, next generation logistics, and self-driving vehicles possible.

Solutions providers will make a few G’s on helping businesses with private 5G.
