Climate Tech Makes a Difference

We cover a lot of climate technologies—from the robots and AI that are helping energy companies to experimental energy production trials. In all these initiatives, which ones could have the biggest impact on stopping and reversing climate change?

The Wall Street Journal looked at exactly that. They found technologies that, if widely adopted, could make a big impact on emissions reductions.

  • Geothermal at a larger scale and with the help of utilities

  • More efficient cooling technologies, prototypes of which are being tested

  • Nuclear energy production

  • Carbon removal—both technological and natural

  • Solar microgrids

  • Better batteries—energy storage is a big barrier

  • Cleaner shipping via electric vessels, greener fuels, and other solutions

  • Electric vehicles, especially the batteries
