Generative AI in Enterprises

By now, you’ve most likely heard about ChatGPT, and possibly tried it out yourself. ChatGPT is an advanced AI-powered chatbot that can have conversations, answer questions, and even write new works. 

This article could have been written by an AI bot. But it wasn’t. It was written by a human, working hard to make sure AI writers don’t take her job. 

While individuals are using ChatGPT to cheat on homework, write books, and even write derivative rap lyrics about the future of meat, forward-looking enterprises are thinking about how this technology can work for them. (But not, like as a W-2 hire.)

Top-of mind, broadly applicable uses for this technology include creating marketing content, automating sales processes, building instructional material, and translating. 

Several enterprises are using ChatGPT and generative AI in general to lift heavy data processing workloads. 

Virtualspeech uses ChatGPT to help immerse trainees in scenarios—like meetings or customer service situations—that offer more realistic experiences and feedback. Trainees can interact with virtual humans to learn new skills, practice soft skills, simulate tough conversations, and more. 

Other cutting-edge companies are using generative design to speed up and cover more ground during the product design and engineering process. For example, General Motors used generative design to reduce vehicle weight, Under Armour discovered an unconventional geometry for a shoe that offers an ideal mix of flexibility and stability, and Phillipe Starck used generative design to engineer more sustainable furniture that uses less material. 

The possibilities are endless, but caution is required. This technology is still in its infancy, and enterprises can’t run out and replace their workforce with generative AI robots. There are issues with copyright, filtering inappropriate content, not to mention that an AI built by humans will inevitably be inclined to human error.

A wider outlook and an increased comprehension strong. 

 

With visualizations that captivate our minds, 

Exploring models seeing them through their design. 

Industrial XR allows us to find, 

Innovations we would never have imagined in our prime.  


The direction of advancements on a path so steep,   

That outwardly it appears more than deep.  

To explore this realm further with eyes so bright,   

In industrial XR make sure you take flight!
